Talent

Isn't it a beauty!

But no...I didn't make it.  However, that is a goal of mine.  I want to go take a couple of cake decorating classes and start doing it for fun.  Mark has gotten me a few things that I will need to get started, so here we go:)  Wish me luck!

Lazy

I swear I make this recipe at least once every two weeks because Mark and I love to eat breakfast for dinner.  When I looked to find a belgian waffle recipe all of them wanted me to peak egg whites(which I hate doing) except this one.  It turns out I liked this recipe better than most of the other anyway.  Our favorite things to eat with it are nutella or whip cream and strawberries but obviously you can "have whatever you like"!!

Belgian Waffles
 2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups milk
6 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 large eggs
Directions
  1. Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and combine until well blended.
  2. Allow batter to rest 5 minutes before using.
  3. Use in your Belgian Waffle Maker according to manufacturer's suggestion.

Congratulations Binky!

Part of my family after Alina's shower was over
My awesome husband who decided to block for Taylor so that she would have a sure win at the bouquet...sure enough it worked:)

Jaxon did pretty well all things considered, but thanks to my sweet brother and sister-in-law, Jaxon was able to skip out early on the festivities to sleep in his crib once he was DONE.

And there she is folks...Taken.  She got married in the San Antonio Temple.  Many of us were able to be there for the ceremony and it was beautiful.  Of course I bawled like a baby because my Baby sister was getting married.  I know I got married when I was just a few months older than her, but somehow it just seems different when the baby of the family gets married I guess.
We were able to have a lovely reception afterwards at the J.  Of course I am a dummy and didn't take hardly any pictures but our good family friend Ginny was able to catch many beautiful moments with her photography.
Love you Binky and I wish you guys all of the happiness in the world!

WB

I love these girls.  I can honestly say in a way they saved my life.  We have been there for each other through the good and the bad and always will.
Love you guys!

We finally decided it was time to cut Jaxon's hair.  He pretty much didn't have any until about 2 months ago, but it was getting so the top was short and the back was long.  It had to go.  So like the good parents that we are, we bribed him with chocolate in his high chair while we did it.  It worked like a charm!

Ward Christmas Party

I am on the activities committee so I had to go up to the church to set up at noon.  James was nice and watched Jaxon for me while I was gone.  It turned out to be a big success.  It looked beautiful, lots of people came, there was yummy food, and more.  Good times.

This pretty much sums up Jaxon:

 Before Jaxon gets to it.....

Thanksgiving

We pretty much had an awesome Thanksgiving!  We had tons of good food and played with the kiddos.  The boys got in a little bit of XBox time while the ladies got to chat.  Great start to the holidays.  I love my family!
Typical perfect Grammy playing with the youngins

The girls and Nick's girlfriend Kimberly's girls were mesmerized by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Isn't that cute?!

Best chef in the world!  Octavio brined the turkey overnight and I kid you not, the best turkey I have ever had!

Nick using my awesome electric carving knife for the first time on the YUMMY ham.

continued

Hot stuff!

It was the Binghams, Shumways, and us.
Stupid camera was blurry.

We also got to take Jaxon camping for the first time a couple of weeks ago with some more good friends the Peritens, Knabs, and Christensens. Jaxon did great! He slept the whole night through.

And of course he loved being able to roam around free!
